Education Alternatives, a leading Day Treatment program for alternative education, is seeking an organized and energetic Administrative Assistant to join our Bedford location.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of the Day Treatment building, as well as receptionist duties for the front school office. This position ensures the efficient workflow within the building and reports to the Building Director/Principal. This is a full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible position.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and general clerical duties across a range of building needs
- Enter and maintain client information in the organization’s multiple data systems, including attendance, lunch program data, enrollment in day treatment, and summer programming
- Provide customer service for parents/guardians of clients, school districts, and other agencies involved with the enrollment of students/clients
- Manage, plan and coordinate the schedules of the Building Director/Principal, Academic Coordinator, and other key personnel
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications (telephone, email, mail, etc.)
- Create a welcoming atmosphere within the building
- Maintain an inventory of office materials, products, and supplies
- Assist and monitor student’s self-administration of medication
Job Requirements
- Minimum two years’ college or specialized training preferred
- Work-related or nonprofit experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively, independently, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of office organization

Monday through Friday
